The ol’ double-barrel goes by many names, from coach gun to game getter. In its most classic form, it embodies the very spirit of the Old West. The Heritage Badlander shotgun brings an updated take on the classic Old West coach gun in a 12-gauge side-by-side package.

Heritage Badlander Shotgun

The Heritage Badlander is based on the Old West side-by-sides of yesteryear. It comes with two 18.5-inch barrels, featuring a modern, corrosion-resistant black oxide coating. Modern manufacturing blends with the simplicity and durability of the form. Located between the barrels, a brass bead sight provides the aiming point. A Turkish walnut wood stock adds a nice touch to the classic design.

The tang-mounted, two-position safety rests within easy reach of the shooter’s thumb. Twin triggers requires a pull for each individual barrel. A Cylinder bore makes this shotgun suitable for home defense, self-defense or Cowboy Action Shooting. It should make a handy little field gun as well for around the ranch or farm.

The Badlander retails for $894.99. For even more info, visit heritagemfg.com.

For anyone looking to get into Cowboy Action Shooting, here’s a great entry point. Or if you want the ultimate in simplicity and reliability in home defense blaster, its pretty tough to beat a break-option double. Chambered in 12-gauge, you kill small game or feel well defended.
